Want a fun way to hold on to the memory of all those awesome restaurants, eateries, food trucks, bakeries, and other food establishments you’ve visited? Want a way to display where you’ve been and what you’ve eaten? Make business card magnets! They are super cheap, loads of fun, and really easy to make. And best of all, each time you open the refrigerator, you can remember that unbelievable dish you ate, that special night out, or a myriad of other memories you’ve created around restaurant dinner tables.

Asheley and I love showing off our magnets to friends and family when the come over. They are excellent conversation starters, and also just look really awesome. Guests love checking out the places we’ve eaten, and without fail these little magnets help us remember all the fun food memories we’ve created… together.

Here’s how to make your own Business Card Magnets:

1. Collect Business Cards

Collect business cards from restaurants, chocolatiers, food trucks, bakeries, food-related establishments… pretty much anywhere you want! Sometimes places don’t have business cards and that’s a bit of a bummer, but most places nowadays do!

2. Get a Strip of Magnets

Available at most craft stores (I get mine at Michaels), get yourself a strip of magnets. They are really cheap, normally around $1-4 depending upon how big of a strip you get. Cut the magnets to the size of your business cards:

Attach the magnets to the back of the business cards.

3. Arrange on Fridge and Enjoy!

If you are crazy like me, you might choose to arrange all your magnets on the fridge by region and/or category! We have different spots on the refrigerator for Paris, Long Island, Outside of NY, NYC Restaurants, NYC Bakeries, NYC Food Trucks, and NYC Ice Cream. Yes, I’m a little Type A… and I love it.
