These Loaded Pulled Pork Cheese Fries ---> Mind. Blown.
When I was in college, some of my friends would always insist on going to this diner right by campus. It was terrible. Actually, I think most diners are pretty terrible. Now I've heard that diners outside of Long Island can actually be pretty fantastic, but here with what we have to work with... not so much.
The sandwiches were always not as good as I could get at a deli. The burgers not as good as I could get... well, literally anywhere else. I'm sure the breakfast was fine, but I'm a firm believer of breakfast is NOT for dinner, ever. Sorry.
The only two things that I actually semi-looked forward to when traveling to this abysmal eating establishment were the free little sides of cole slaw they brought out and my go-to order of cheese fries. With a side of honey mustard, which would always be too mustardy and lacking in the honey department. But that's another story.
I can't remember the last time I had cheese fries. And you can thank one of my wedding photography clients for this recipe, because without them mentioning cheese fries during our meeting the other week, I totally never would have thought about making this epic game day snack!
But I'm so glad they did, because Ermagherd Loaded Pulled Pork Cheese Fries!!!
I wish I didn't forget about cheese fries for all this time. I feel like I now need to make up for lost time. Delicious, delicious cheese fry lost time.
I love love love love love (did I mention love?) nachos. I'm fairly confident in stating that I could eat nachos every day for the rest of my days on earth and be so content with my life. And really, these Loaded Pulled Pork Cheese Fries are simply a variation on nachos. So yea, I guess you could swap out the fries and put in tortilla chips if you need to. Or tater tots would totally be legit as well.
But then again, there is something so satisfying about fries smothered in melted cheese.
And then topped with pulled pork.
And bacon.
AND A FRIED EGG.
You heard that correctly. A fried egg. That glorious golden runny yolk, all up in these Loaded Pulled Pork Cheese Fries.
And these are not just any fried eggs. They're Davidson’s Safest Choice® Pasteurized Eggs. Why is that important? Because if you're anything like me, you have that moment of hesitation when you see an egg that is possibly maybe undercooked. But pssst, we can all be worry-free with Safest Choice Eggs!
Beyond being legit in the flavor department, Davidson’s Safest Choice® Pasteurized Eggs are pasteurized! Yup, that's right. These gurus figured out a way to say goodbye to any and all risk of Salmonella using an all-natural patented process! Boom.
Make sure to look out for Davidson’s Safest Choice® Pasteurized Eggs at a grocery store near you. And if you can’t find ’em, just visit the SafeEggs.com store locator!
